Barring the catalog, The Log is thought to be Camp Kawanhee’s oldest publication. Known for its humorous takes on camp events large and small, it has taken form as both published writing and stand up comedy routine.
The Kawanhee Wasp
Published for a few years in the mid 1960s, the Kawanhee Wasp was a parody of the Wigwam. It described itself as, “a literary masterpiece… concerned with evoking constructive discussion of camp matters.”

The Legend of Kawanhee
Published in 2013 by Antonio JP Rullán, The Legend of Kawanhee “is an attempt to use the ancient art of mythology to contextualize our subject, named Kawanhee, using and respecting the local Abenaki customs as much as possible.” Chief Kawanhee is the fictional Native American man for whom camp is named.
History of Kawanhee
