The Kawanhee Wasp

The Kawanhee Wasp, published for a few years in the mid 1960s, was a parody of the Wigwam; it described itself as “a literary masterpiece… concerned with evoking constructive discussion of camp matters.” The only surviving issue of this publication is the first, published on July 17, 1966. The name Wasp was purportedly an acronym for “what a sensational paper.” Its slogan was, “All the news that fits, we print.”
